There was a nighttime incident in the data centre of one international investment group. The data centre served all of its affiliates. During the incident it was discovered that there wasn't a functioning crisis scenario, and that the data centre services would most likely be impossible to recover.
The company addressed AEC immediately asking for help, and the next morning our team was on site and dealt with the recovery of the data centre. We collected data at the same time as we were cleaning up the damage in order to lower the negative impacts of these situations in the future.
BCM consultants from AEC helped to identify the responsibility for emergency plans coordination with the aid of a Crisis Committee at the local level. We drew up emergency plans and prepared the testing scenarios in order to be able to verify the plans in the future. According to the plans, the data centre recovery is now manageable within five hours.
